I’m Tahirah Coleman, a West Chester-born artist working between human figures, florals, and layered textures. My work explores identity, femininity, and personal transformation, often blending fine art with immersive, community-centered experiences.
Muse Studios is my creative practice — I remain the artist behind the work.
Being back in West Chester made me think about who I was, who I am now, and what I’m stepping into next. This residency centers on that in-between space — the pause, the check-in, and the honesty that comes before change. The work moves between human figures and bright florals. The figures reflect inner dialogue and moments of self-examination, while the florals speak to resilience, softness, and beauty found in unexpected places. Homecoming isn’t about going backward. It’s about returning with intention and seeing familiar ground — and yourself — with new clarity.
